Prison health care: Are drug courts a good alternative to imprisonment for substance abusers?

Article Abstract:

John Roman, Senior Research Associate, Justice Policy Center of the Urban Institute recommends substantial expansion in the number of drug courts to cut down the level of crime in the United States. However, Steven K. Erickson, an expert argues that the effectiveness of drug courts are plagued for various reasons and his conclusion is that good intentions of the therapeutic courts are not enough to overcome the troubling aspects.

Prosecutors and the law: Nancy Grace's work as prosecutor criticized

The cases in which former Atlanta prosecutor Nancy Grace drew judicial criticism for unfair prosecutorial practices during her term are presented. Her similar bias as a TV talk show host against defendants in the Duke lacrosse players case in 2005 is discussed.
