Article Abstract:

President Bill Clinton was notified that Richard Butler, chief of the UN weapons-inspections program, in his repot outlined Iraq's refusal to comply with the agreement singed in Nov 1998. Clinton was advised by his national security team to act before Ramadan, Islam's holiest month. Clinton had little time and he ordered air strikes against Iraq. However, by acting, he jeopardized his credibility in the US and abroad because he was set to be impeached by the House.

Article Abstract:

An overview is provided of why Islamic fundamentalists feel so strongly about their hatred for the West as epitomised by the United States, that they are willing to die for it. Some of the largest Muslim nations show little anti-US feeling, but the Arab nations are the home of Islamic fundamentalism, where most terrorists are bred.

Is this the end of inflation?

Article Abstract:

Issues are presented concerning the effect which the currency crisis in Turkey will have on the country's rampant inflation. The influence of the International Monetary Fund in Turkish economic affairs is discussed.
