Issues are presented concerning the violence which has erupted in the Middle East following the breakdown of peace negotiations between Palestine and Israel. The efforts of US President Bill Clinton to restart peace negotiations are discussed.

Conflict between Palestine and Israel has been reconvened and has led to an outbreak of fighting on the Lebanon border. The very positive peace negotiations in 1993, which were led by the US, have been disregarded by both sides.
