Montreal's $1-billion coup angers Toronto mayor
Article Abstract:
Heathmount A.E. Corp, owned by the Reichmann family, will build the planned C$1-billion Technodome entertainment and sports complex in Montreal. The Reichmanns earlier planned to build Technodome in Toronto but the federal government refused to sell some of its Downsview lands. The planned 2-million-sq-ft complex would include an indoor mountain for skiing, a watercourse for white-water kayaking, an entertainment center with rides, movie studios, 3-D cinemas, a rain forest and sports facilities.
