Article Abstract:

Lewis (1903-1970) lived a difficult life. She suffered from birth defects, but still managed to paint hundreds of oil paintings on a variety of surfaces. Since her death, she has become an icon of Canada's folk art movement. The Art Gallery of Nova Scotia is exhibiting 200 of her works.

Time to bow out: Nova Scotia's premier resigns
