Stelco blames steel prices for loss

Toronto, Ont.-based Stelco Inc. has reported a $8 million loss in the third quarter ended Sept. 30, 2000. The steel manufacturer, which is the largest in Canada, has blamed the loss on declining steel prices and rising natural gas prices.

Co-Steel fingers import flood for lower 3rd-quarter profit
