Citigroup co-CEO Sanford Weill has exercised his stock options which amounted to $156.6 million in 1998. Citigroup's other co-CEO John Reed has $70 million in exercisable options which he did not realize in 1998. Reed's salary was $1.7 million and a bonus of $7.9 million. While the proxy recognized Reed and Weill's leadership in the successful merger of Citicorp and Traveler Group, it also mentions Citigroup's 'disappointing earnings.'
