U.S. proposes tough new rail merger rules

Article Abstract:

The U.S. Surface Transportation Board has proposed new regulations that will make it more difficult for Canadian railways to acquire US-based railways. The NSTB's proposal was prompted by the merger between Burlington Northern Santa Fe Corp. and Canadian National Railway Co.
