Article Abstract:

Despite all the publicity about the health risks of smoking, there are still 6.2 million smokers in Canada, many of them young people. Toronto, Ontario, recently instituted a ban, effective Jan 1, 1996, on smoking in bars and restaurants, angering tobacco interests and smokers.
