People for the Ethical Treatment of Animals (PETA), the world's largest animal rights organization is fighting issues like Australia's live sheep trade with the help of cinema and television celebrities, most of whom have turned into vegetarians, for the sake of ethics and for new issues like global warming, environment and health. The opposition is also working hard with the support of celebrities and the unreliability of the famous for PETA is causing some damage but some of the sincere and true proposers of vegetarianism are making impressive headway for the organization.

The new colour sets showed influential series in a new light but nearly two million Australians chose to watch 'The Six Million Dollar Man, an American action series about an astronaut then there was 'Number 96' which instantly became Australia's top-rating serial.
