Amber heights

Article Abstract:

The Amber Room in St. Petersburg, founded by Federick III, first King of Prussia, who commissioned this tour de force of the baroque from the great sculptor Andreas Schlutter, attracts many spectators and visitors. The room will serve as a metaphor for the exchange of Russian-German relations as it was made in Germany, taken to Russia, looted and repatriated to Germany, then re-constructed by Russians with German money.

Makeovers of various political figures are presented with special focus on Tasmania's Premier Paul Lennon who has a makeover hairstyle done by award-winning hairdresser Matt Nischler of Hobart. 'The Mercury' reported that Lennon's brush-back hairstyle is replaced by a side-parted hairstyle.
