Sources say Li not ready to walk: Air Canada deal 'troubled,' not 'dead'

Victor Li of Trinity Time Investments Ltd. is in talks with Air Canada top executives and states that they have not yet come to any conclusion about investing $650 million in Air Canada. Air Canada will seek an extension of its protection against creditors under the Companies' Creditors Arrangement Act (CCAA).

Air Canada unions eye other investors: Gearing up in case Victor Li pulls out

Article Abstract:

Air Canada union officials are aiming at other potential equity investors to withdraw the insolvent airline on the assumption that Trinity Time Investments Ltd. might win the plan for $650-million investment if the unions do not give in to pension demands it has made. The International Association of Machinists and Aerospace Workers (IAM), largest union of Air Canada disavowed a deal on pension cut with the airline by local union officials in Montreal.
