A furor has erupted over Air Canada's disclosure of information to select brokerage analysts which led to the company's stock plunging 12% while most shareholders were in the dark. Canadian regulators are prepared prohibit companies from revealing financial information to a chosen few as the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission has already done.

Rivals agree competition laws flawed
