Article Abstract:

The battle fought almost one hundred years ago, which became an important part of the collective Australian spirit, comes to mind as the Australian soldiers face enemy fire in Iraq. The events of the battle of Gallipoli, fought between Australian and Turkish soldiers during World War I, and the heroic spirit of the men who fought there are discussed.

The Emirates World Series Racing Championship is a set of 9 races designed to determine the world's best racehorse. Held in 1999, the prizes total approximately $20 mil. The championship will also suggest the ability of this sport to survive into the 21st century, being held in 9 countries and globally televised.

My brother Jack

Article Abstract:

Jack Simpson was an English merchant seaman who entered Australia illegally and became a legendary hero of the Gallipoli landing in World War I in the Australian army. He found a donkey in a hut and used it to carry wounded soldiers to the beach. He was killed by enemy fire in May, 1915.
