Many question whether Patrick Rafter can reclaim the Australian Open for his country, but Rafter knows that breaking the 23-year old drought will earn him the respect of his country. Pete Sampras has decided to withdraw from the Australian Open, which gives Rafter the best chance to win his national crown.
