Article Abstract:
The Consumer Product Safety Commission is recalling almost 10 mil playpens on Nov 24, 1998, because children can be strangled in them. The recalled playpens are portable mesh types that can be folded in two and have rivets that protrude up to a half-inch from outside top rails. Although models manufactured by five other companies are also involved, almost all of the recalled playpens were sold by Kolcraft, Graco and Price-Timble Corp. The recall is the second action made by the Commission this month involving playpens.

Article Abstract:
Ford Motor Chairman Bill Ford Jr has announced that the company plans to become the world's most environmental-friendly auto manufacturer. The company expects that all of its pickups, sport utilities and minivans will meet or exceed the tough air-quality standards of the state of California by 2001, which is three years earlier than the target implementation of the stricter emission standards. The move will help the company justify the sale of its motor vehicles that are not efficient in fuel usage.
