Vital capabilities for the nations' warfighter

Article Abstract:

The US Army Space and Missile Defense Command (USASMDC) was instrumental in supporting the global war o terrorism during 2004, providing responsive operational space and missile defense capabilities to the joint warfighters. The USASMDC is taking steps to operationalize space into the Future Force by establishment of an organic space support element in each of the Army's reorganizing units of employment, which are essential for the transformation of the command.
