Reconstructing the Russian military

Article Abstract:

With the Russian economy showing signs of recovery, the Kremlin finds itself with revenues from major corporations who have benefited from the privatization campaigns of the early 1990s. The Russian President has declared that a large portion of this revenue will go towards modernizing the military that is still using equipments manufactured during the Soviet Union era.

India joins the Russian naval missile system club

Article Abstract:

Pakistan's purchase of submarines and anti-ship missiles from France in 1994 has led India to purchase Club naval missiles from Russia in 1999. The high-terminal velocity of the missiles, along with their smaller size, would make them difficult to defend against.
