Measuring success

Article Abstract:

Bush Administration is facing problems in measuring the success or progress in the war against Iraq as the statistical data provided represents things that are easy to measure rather than phenomena that actually indicate the progress of the war. Several techniques that have the potential to describe Sunni Arabs attitudes, as they are necessary to understand the state of progress in the counterinsurgency effort are presented.

The NCW illusion

Article Abstract:

Network-centric warfare (NCW) believes that in future wars there will be no need for reserves or reinforcements as effects-based operations would be the main method for combat force employment and the concept of point of culmination would become obsolete. NCW will apply to countering irregular, catastrophic and disruptive threats as well as force building and countering traditional threats.

Strategic redeployment

Article Abstract:

The continuous spreading of the military forces of America in Iraq ground has decreased the security of the Americans and also the people of Iraq. The purpose of strategic redeployment of American military forces in Iraq is to increase chances of global stability when the near-term troop withdrawal from Iraq is to begin.
