E-2C Hawkeye 2000

Article Abstract:

Northrop Grumman has announced the first flight of the third E-2Cd Hawkeye carrier-based radar-early-warning aircraft mofidied to test Hawkeye 2000 systems. In addition to the Hawkeye 2000 systems, the aircraft will also have the ARC-210 radio and an electronic-support-measures upgrade. The upgrading of the US Navy's E-2C fleet to the Group II configuration is ongoing. Northrop Grumman expects the complete transformation to an all- Hawkeye 2000 force by 2015.

Bell Boeing MV-22 Osprey passes key test milestones

Article Abstract:

Bell BoeingEs MV-22B Osprey tiltrotor aircraft has passed several test designed to evaluate its performance, safety and reliability during the rigorous re-evaluation by the V-22 Integrated Test Team (ITT). The manufacturing defects in the hydraulic lines are discovered during a functional check of lines on a V-22 being assembled at the Bell-22 facility.
