Article Abstract:

The Finnish Air Force (FIAF) aims to create a force that will be capable of taking part in multinational air operations under the terms of its government's 2004 'White Paper on Security and Defense Policy'. Maj. Gen. Heikkl Lyytinen gives details of FIAF's procurement plans and describes the unit for European crises management activities that FIAF will offer 2010 onwards.
