Article Abstract:

The logistics enterprise integration (people, processes, and technologies) undertaken in the Marine Corps is highlighted. The beginning of the implementation of the new logistics information technology (IT) - the Global Combat Support System - Marine Corps (GCSS-MC) at II Marine Expeditionary Force (II MEF) and Marine Corps Base Camp Lejeune in the fall of 2003 is reported.

The bold and aggressive actions taken to implement business initiatives since they are imperative to war fighting excellence and the achievement is discussed. The people and the activities of the Marine Corps business enterprise ensure that support is provided to the war fighter at the right time, in the right quantity, and in the right place.
