Article Abstract:
The US Naval Institute held its ninth annual Warfare Exposition and Symposium in Virginia Beach, Virginia that focused on the Navy's new Fleet Response Plan (FRP) that involves the careful scheduling of ship maintenance and Navy resource allocation to surge carrier strike groups on short notice. Adm. William J. Fallon, a commander Fleet Forces Command, reported that the Navy is not able to identify how many people it takes to run the Navy in the Post-Cold War period.

The major events that happened during 2002 for United States Coast Guard, and the achievements of Coast Guards from the early years to the current year are reviewed. They have always been focused on maritime, military and multimission, have worked on projects like Deepwater Project and Rescue 21 and are also involved in the work of the Department of Homeland Security.
