Article Abstract:
To achieve acceleration with innovation it is necessary to constantly adapt to the changes in technology and markets. Examples of this are seen in the Army Materiel Command (AMC), which is now working on the deployability logistics to get the right amount of materiels to the soldiers when and where they need it as well as rebuilding old equipment to new-like condition by changing manufacturing processes and business practices. Also, the newly created Research Development and Engineering (RDE) Command is concentrating on capabilities, survivability and deployability rather than commodities, to integrate technologies across and through multiple disciplines.
