Article Abstract:
GKN Defence has launched Warrior 2000, the latest variant of its Warrior family of armored fighting vehicles. The vehicle retains the line's proven aluminum armor hull, but features major advances in technology that have come out since the British Army accepted its first Warrior. These improvements include "stealth" characteristics, an enhanced 650hp Condor 8V engine, and new spaced armour arrangement to increase protection against direct fire from KE ammunition up to 30mm APFSDS rounds. The company is currently offering the vehicle to Switzerland and Finland.
