Article Abstract:
A discussion is presented on military awards and decorations, and the problems related to the awards system. Senior officers and enlisted leaders are concerned that the guidelines for administration of the awards process are not followed even during peace time, hence its validity will be threatened in wartime. Thus, appropriate criteria must be clearly established and followed so that comparable acts are rewarded consistently and similarly.
