4th MAW JFACC liaison in OIF

Article Abstract:

The history, development, training and deployment of the 4th Marine Aircraft Wing's (4th MAW) Joint Force Air Component Command (JFACC) liaison cell and it's role in the Operation Iraqi Freedom (OIF) air operations are discussed. Senior postcommand officers, training and continuity requirements have well-suited the Reserve Component in the OIF operations and 4th MAW intends to continue to develop and man the JFACC liaison cell with the most experienced and trained personnel available.

The Maine Air-Ground Task Force (MAGTF) Staff Training Program (MSTP) discusses the importance of battle rhythm in information management (IM). Battle rhythm is an important process where the commander and his staff synchronize their daily operating tempo within the planning, decision, execution, and assessment cycle, which allows the commander to take timely decisions.

Surviving first contact

Article Abstract:

Marine Corps should possess the primary skills like instinct in order to survive their first contact with the enemy. The Marine Corps Common Skills (MCCS) program should ensure that the Marine Corps master the primary skills in the entry-level training and then sustain it in the Operating Forces, which ultimately decides their survival in the Iraqi operations.
