Article Abstract:
Marine aviation command and control (AC) is in the midst of a complex, comprehensive transformation while engaged in the largest sustained combat employment of the Marine air (C.sup.2) system (MACCS). The overarching challenge of this campaign is to maintain the Nation's most effective tactical air (C.sup.2) system while preparing for an uncertain future.

Marine artillery's dilemma: the requirements-acquisition disconnect

The Marine artillery programs and some of the possible remedies for the artillery's requirements-acquisition dilemma are discussed. The Marine artillery needs to support the acquisition plan of the expeditionary maneuver warfare (EMW) in order to overcome the requirements-acquisition dilemma.
