MTV has tapped into Lime Pictures to produce "Living on the Edge", a UK version of the hit docu-drama in the United States "Laguna Beach". Shot in Alderley Edge, the show's key challenge is recreating the glamor effect offered by the US show. Other issues surrounding the production of "Living on the Edge" are discussed.

Darlow Smithson Productions (DSP) produced a drama-documentary film "The Beckoning Silence" based on climber Joe Simpson's novel of the same title. The show was commissioned by Channel 4, which also backed DSP's feature documentary on Simpson "Touching the Void". The making of "The Beckoning Silence" is discussed.

Ben Devlin, producer of the 60-minute documentary Richard Hammond Meets Evel Knievel, describes his experiences while filming the documentary in Montana, USA. The crew had to deal with the idiosyncrasies of the motorcycle stuntman, who suffered a stroke days before the filming.
