Article Abstract:
Reporting on Islam in the Dutch, with special attention to the Algemeen Dagblad, where Islam developed more importance over the years from 998 to 2004 is investigated. Reporting on Islam is said to be balanced even though it is often associated with negative events, but with the murder of Theo van Gogh, journalists tended to make more negative pronouncements about non-Muslims.
