Advertisers resigned to relaxation of CRR

Advertisers believe Independent Television (ITV) will succeed in getting the Contract Rights Renewal system relaxed, but they want changes to be implemented more gradually. ITV is trying to persuade the Office of Fair Trading (OFT) to finish reviewing the CRR by 2008.

ITN On editor Jon Godel believes that television news producers should embrace user-generated content to reach out to more audiences. TV news did not interest 64% of people aged 18-24, while as much as 36% of the Asian population use the Internet for news.
