ALAB's unified voice heard during wallop-breaux reauthorization

Article Abstract:

The Sport Fish Restoration Act is up for reauthorization this year and the American League of Anglers and Boaters (ALAB) is getting into high gear on Capitol Hill to ensure that anglers, boaters, and industry interests are represented during Congressional reauthorization of the law. Four amendments to the Sport Fish Restoration Act that significantly altered the program are stated.

'An Ocean Blueprint for the 21st Century' a 450-page report completed by the U.S. Commission on Ocean Policy, after two and a half years of work explaining issues of governance, policy and fisheries is discussed. The lengthy and comprehensive U.S. Commission report has many implications for freshwater systems.
