Article Abstract:

Student-based chapters and student sub-units of the American Fishers Society have successfully balanced their roles of club and chapter. The report stated that the main aim of the American Fisheries Society was to improve the conservation and sustainability of fishery resources and aquatic sciences and promoting the development of fisheries professionals.

A hidden part of the AFS meeting mix

Article Abstract:

Lesser-known fact about AFS are their varied AFS units that have their independent annual meetings which lure higher proportion of the membership in a Chapter or Division than that of the parent society. Chapter meetings being small, the opportunities of intermingling are huge as the presentations can be managed by small well planned out session.
