An investigation was carried out on the listing Collier County commissioner John Norris as to his stake in the Stadium Naples start-up company relaunch. Though he disagreed his stake, the investigation showed that as early as October 1996, he had cast votes to bail Stadium Naples founder Rasmussen's Senior PGA golf tournament foundation out of financial trouble with an infusion of 500,000 dollars in taxpayer money.
