Georgia prep football is big business, big bucks

Article Abstract:

An investigation into how a Macon, GA, high school was able to raise $2 million to build a football complex on private property revealed much about the status of high school football throughout the state. The reporter who began the investigation obtained help to compile a database about the salaries of football coaches at the state's high schools. He describes how he would have done his investigation differently.
