Abizaid: Pakistan best ally in terror war

Article Abstract:

Army Gen. John Abizaid stated at a press breakfast at Washington, D.C., that Pakistan's President Pervez Musharraf is a firm ally in the war against terror and is helping the United States to deal with Taliban and al Qaeda forces in Afghanistan. Abizaid also defended the U.S. military's role in stabilizing Iraq since the fall of Hussein's regime despite the large number of casualties and expressed the opinion that comparisons with Bosnia were way off mark as the people of Iraq would rather fight to preserve a single Iraq than divide it.
