Article Abstract:
A Cournot framework is presented to examine the effects of wireless service and high-speed connections on the competition between Incumbent Local Exchange Carriers (ILECs) and Competitive Local Exchange Carriers (CLECs) in local telecommunication markets. The results indicate that the wireless and high-speed services adversely affect ILEC lines.
