A probit model of household broadband service subscription intentions: a regional analysis
Article Abstract:
The Australian telecommunications industry's introduction of broadband services has been followed by intense debates surrounding its impact on the public. In the wake of this development, an analysis of the coverage of broadband service delivery has become imperative. Using probit regression, stated-preference subscription data from a survey of a thousand households show that broadband services have the potential to transform a large part of the population into an information-poor class.
