Commentary: the success of the euro is not enough

Article Abstract:

Article Abstract:

Financial markets have shown some confidence in the new euro in the progression towards economic and monetary union (EMU), and it is likely the euro will be a strong currency. Whether or not EMU will be a success will depend on whether it can keep both unemployment and inflation down.
