Absolute liability for ammunition manufacturers

Article Abstract:

Absolute liability should be imposed on ammunition manufacturers for injuries caused by their products. Absolute liability would not require negligence by the manufacturer and would not be abrogated by user negligence. Imposition of absolute liability on ammunition manufacturers is justified as a more efficient way of allocating the costs resulting from use of the product, primarily costs related to medical care. These costs are currently being assumed by the many innocent bystanders who are injured by bullets and by the whole society.

Article Abstract:

Review courses help professional applicants pass the Patent and Trademark Office's exam for admission to patent practice. A survey of admittees who passed the 1991 exam shows a consensus that the exam is fair, and over half of those who took a course thought it adequate. Approximately 80% of those in courses passed the exam, yet under 40% of those who prepared in other ways passed the exam.
