Tackling toolbars: make them work for you

Article Abstract:

Microsoft's Internet Explorer Web browser allows a user to install or create toolbars, which can be used by lawyers as research tools. Toolbars mentioned include FindLaw, Google and LexLink. A procedure is explained in which a user highlights a company name in a news article and right-clicks to invoke a pop-up menu with an option for searching on Google.

Legal associations and organizations are beginning to use the Internet as a platform for sharing information and expertise. Two dot-orgs are profiled: one, LawNet, is a specialty group; and the other is the Missouri Bar Association.
