Riding the insurance investment wave

Article Abstract:

A new partnership concentrated on insurance and health care is the goal of Insurance Partners L.P. as its five-year investment fund ends in 1998. The private equity investment firm is also on the lookout for opportunities, eyeing Asia and Eastern Europe where the potentials for health care are enormous. Such a global presence is hoped to be achieved through its subsidiary International Managed Care Advisors, initially in Latin America. The New York-based company aims to introduce the techniques of managed care to the region, such as in Argentina where the economy has stabilized.
