It's time to fine-tune the automation process

Article Abstract:

Automation of the workflow is necessary if insurance agencies want to take advantage of the technology currently sitting on their employees' desktops. The advent of personal computing has created more work, not less, for many agency employees, as constant checking and rechecking of multiple electronic documents, and faxing and sending these documents elsewhere in the country, has continued a laborious task. Agencies need to fully automate their workflow so that workers can have access to information after it has been inputted.

Assessing value

Article Abstract:

Insurance agencies can increase their value during the recession by securing the services of appraisers. These professionals can help them identify areas of strength. Appraisers usually examine eight areas that can contribute to an agency's value: finances, productivity, books of business, account concentration, carriers, growth, management and automation. The importance of each of these, from the appraiser's perspective, is analyzed in detail.
