The impact of demographic aspects on life and health insurance industry is analyzed. Based on these effects, it is expected that insurance premiums will be higher for certain type of insurance. Other issues related to the industry like shifting of distribution channels, demutualization wave, and capital market activity are also discussed. Mergers and acquisitions in the industry are continuing to dwindle.
