Court approves ERISA action against ENRON executives, trustee, and plan auditor for retirement plan losses

Article Abstract:

The ENRON executives, trustees and outside auditors could be sued under the Employee Retirement Income Security Act (ERISA), as ruled out by the U.S. federal court. It was for allowing the Enron 401(k) Savings Plan, Employee Stock Ownership Plan (ESOP), and Cash Balance Plan to suffer heavy losses due to Plan investments.
