Willingness and capacity: the determinants of prosocial organizational behaviour among nurses in the UK

Article Abstract:

An empirical investigation of prosocial organizational behaviour among nurses in the UK National Health Service is presented. This work supports the view that both willingness and capacity factors can influence employees' involvement in performance behaviours. Human resource management systems can have a significant impact on employees' prosocial behaviours.

Motivation to train from the workers' perspective: example of French companies

Article Abstract:

Research into the role of training motivation in the effectiveness of training procedures is presented. This research highlights the importance of using motivational constructs in evaluating the effectiveness of a training scheme. Support from the hierarchical supervisor and the method in which the training is presented play significant roles.
