Article Abstract:

The enactment of the Sarbenes-Oxley act of 2002 was focused on the reform of public accounting firms and financial reporting obligations of publicly held companies. The act contains number of provisions which have significant implications for employers, in terms of both responding to complaints about unethical conduct of employers and limiting certain types of executive compensation.
