Businesses are becoming increasingly international and the role of human resources management is becoming pivotal, especially the need for cross-cultural capabilities. It is unclear whether pre-departure training can give international managers the necessary behavioral skills. A new study presents a theoretical model for the dynamics of host-culture adjustment and analyses its importance to cross-cultural training.
