More councils adopt CRE standard

Research study results about the adoption and auditing of local authorities in England using the standard set by the Commission for Racial Equality. 69% of all local authorities adopting the standard had done so in the last two years and have yet to undertake an audit with the standard.

Public sector race amendment

UK government is planning to amend the Race Relations Bill to better address race discrimination issues in the public sector. Additional information on the duties of the Commission for Racial Equality to control compliance of public authorities with the race law is also included.
