Locking the barn door: a selection of irrevocable errors in qualified retirement plans
Article Abstract:
Errors in the areas of qualified domestic relations orders, plans administrative procedures and enrollment are described to help plan sponsors to reassess their practices. A court order authorising the retirement plan to pay benefits to someone other than the participants, Qualified Domestic Relations Order (QDRO) and its benefits are discussed.
